Abstract :
We propose an experimental setup for generating multiple frequency references in the optical telecommunication frequency range. It is based on a comb of equally spaced frequencies, centered at 1550 nm, generated by a passively mode-locked semiconductor laser with a saturable absorber. The repetition rate of the pulse train can be modified using a temporal self-imaging technique.
