Abstract
Triboelectrification between a variety of woods and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is studied. The saturation charge developed on a PTFE sphere rolling on inclined planes of eleven different commercially available woodswas measured. The results suggest the saturation charge levels are positively correlated with area of contact.
