Abstract
A novel method to analyze UWB signal is presented in this paper, namely amplitude probability frequency distribution (APFD). Unlike FT and APD methods that only depict some characteristics of UWB signal in a certain domain, the APFD method proposed in this paper can portray the characteristics of UWB signal from three dimensions space. Neither like STFT method that only observes how the PSD varies with time, this method in this paper can analyze PSD statistical property of UWB signal in long time duration.
