Abstract :
An alternative approach, the minimum variance method, is applied to calculate results of international comparisons. Time-dependent estimates of the output of the transfer standard are calculated for each participant, based on the noise properties of the standard. By abandoning the single reference value concept, the method avoids self-correlation and treats the participants equally.
