Abstract :
The field-based equivalent circuit model is applied to the design and optimization of microstrip passive circuits with aggressive space mapping (ASM) technique. The field-based equivalent circuit model is taken as coarse model, while the commercial software IE3D is used as the fine model. Three practical passive components, i.e., two low-pass filters and a power divider, are designed by the field-based equivalent circuit model with ASM. Good convergence performance is achieved for the designs of all examples.
