Abstract :
As a result of the blockage problem of proportional relief valve, speed fluctuation problem occurred when the hydro-viscous clutch (HVD) with a proportional relief valve was being applied to the Guihuadu waterworks in Hunan province. A variable speed control system of HVD is proposed to overcome the blockage problem of proportional relief valve and reduce the speed fluctuation of HVD. The results show that: By improving the control system of HVD, the speed fluctuation is greatly reduced from ±30r/min to ±5r/min and the pressure fluctuation of pipe network is reduced from ±0.1MPa to ±0.004MPa.
