Abstract :
A numerical method is presented for calculating shielding effectiveness of the cage built with wire-mesh reinforcement. The model is based on the field approximation for thin wire in the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. Then, the proposed method is used to the analysis of shielding effectiveness (SE) of wire-mesh reinforcement. The FDTD results are in very good agreement with the results from the method of moment (MOM). And then a test is made to research shielding effectiveness of wire-mesh reinforcement. The test results are compared with the results from MOM.
