Abstract
The mechanical, electrical, and computer subsystems of a PC-based electronic weighing system that is able to weigh discrete objects from as many as eight conveyor belts at a rate of 15-30 samples/min along each channel are discussed. The weighing system records sample weights and issues an alarm if they fall outside prescribed lower and upper limits and computes the moving average and standard deviations and sounds an alarm if they tend to violate the prescribed upper and lower limits. Flowcharts of the software subroutines are presented.<>
