Abstract :
This paper presents an approach of Supercapacitors integration in transport applications. This proposal is due to the present trend in the transport applications, knowing that the major drawback in these last is the energetic autonomy problem and the DC-bus voltage sags. In this context, using Supercapacitors (SC) and Fuel Cell or Battery with a good strategy for energy management is a promising solution to improve the system performances. The main contributions of this paper present two aspects: The first is based on 54V-Supercapacitors module behavior modeling and experimental parameters identification. Second aspect, is focused on DC-bus voltage and currents control strategies based on polynomial controller. These strategies are implemented in the PIC18F4431 microcontroller for DC/DC converters control. Due to reasons of cost and available components, the experimental test bench is carried out in reduced scale. Through some simulations and experimental results obtained in reduced scale, the authors present an improved energy management strategy for transport applications.
