Abstract
The electronic fuel injector (EFI) is indispensable for real-timely controlling on the mixture ratio of a gasoline engine. With the speed of the engine is higher, there are stronger and stronger requirements for high dynamic performance of the EFI to satisfy with the limitation on fuel consuming and exhaust emission. In this study the dynamic working processing of an electronic port fuel injector is analyzed to calculate the opening time and closing time of it, and designs a measurement system to test its dynamic characteristics. Finally, the test result shows that the measurement system is available to require the opening time and closing time of the EFI in a simple way.
