Abstract :
The correlation of rural-urban coordinated development is influenced by many factors. Based on the concept of rural-urban coordinated development, combined with the complicated process of the interaction between rural and urban, this paper selected space ties, economic ties, social ties and ecological ties as level indicators reflecting the relationship between rural and urban, then made a sub-periods and sub-regional quantitative measure to the correlation of rural-urban coordinated development with the method of analytic hierarchy process (AHP). The results showed that the process of rural-urban coordinated development was not static, homogeneous, but had a certain stage and regionalism. Therefore, the process of rural-urban coordinated development could not achieve overnight and must be gradual and orderly. Based on these, the paper put forth three principles for advancing the rural-urban coordinated development gradually, furthermore, designed the steps to advance the rural-urban coordinated development.
