Abstract :
That paper shows a proposal to visualize in a fast way the tentative design of an electric upgrading in a Northern Mexican refinery, and the places where the primary electrical equipment are installed, which are described in tender bases specifications, generated in electrical upgrading projects, regarded in National Refining Industry (NRI). This paper shows a requirements analysis, software alternatives and its evaluation for the development of virtual paths. The virtual models where developed with a 3D design. Those models will improve time during work in field and meeting for clarifications, that are the first stages of aproachment between suppliers which sell the electrical equipment and NRI in the tender process by 2011 and starting up by 2013.
