  • Abstract
    A UWB Vivaldi antenna has been proposed for brain cancer detection. A Phantom model with dielectric properties of a human brain is designed. The radiation pattern of an UWB Vivaldi antenna exposed to the human brain model is analyzed. The Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) of Electromagnetic waves by the human brain from the antenna is calculated. It is found that the human brain phantom model with a tumour cell has higher values of SAR when compared to the healthy brain model. The values of SAR for both cases have been tabulated. The designed UWB Vivaldi antenna is simulated by using FEKO Suite 5.5 Software.
