Abstract :
This paper presents a general fading distribution, the λ - μ Distribution. The λ - μ Distribution includes the Hoyt, the Nakagami-m, the Rayleigh, and the One-Sided Gaussian distributions as special cases. Field measurement campaigns have been used to validate this new distributions. It has been observed that their fitting to experimental data outperforms that provided by the widely known fading distributions such as Rayleigh, Nakagami-m, and Weibull.
