Abstract :
A system that provides digital closed-loop position/velocity control for the DC motor, brushless DC motor, and stepper motor and is designed to operate under a host terminal, a host processor, or a prestored software command is described. The system consists of a controller, a motor driver, a motor, an encoder, and a built-in power supply. It is shown that the three parameters, gain, pole, and zero, of the filter can be computed as functions of the sampling period, motor, and load characteristics.<>
