Low bit rate speech coding

The paper presents a possible application of the linear contractivity speech coding (LCSC) technique. There exist systems developed for recording, storing and transmitting audio data over a network which require the use of a client/server model to implement data manipulation. In addition, graphics interfaces could improve their useability by adding sound as another channel for conveying information. However, due to excessive storage space and wide bandwidth requirements most audio protocols require techniques for coding/decoding audio signals in order to achieve compression rates that reduces the bandwidth to levels acceptable to the channel.
