Abstract
In this paper the use of dynamic reconfigurability is being explored. Here the commercially available reconfigurable device Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) is used for dynamic reconfiguration. The target device used here is Virtex-4 FPFA. The use of FPGA in Wireless Sensor Networks may reduce some of the major constrains of wireless sensor network such as larger bandwidth, input/ output constrains, flexibility and time-to-market. This project gives the best use of reconfigurable device like FPGA in wireless sensor networks. In this paper a single wireless sensor node with one analog sensor one digital sensor and an actuator is taken into consideration and it is simulated using FPGA device and results are determined. This paper gives an idea of advantages of FPGA over microcontrollers in wireless sensor networks.
