Abstract :
The energy consumption and the lifetime in wireless sensor network (WSN) can be investigated from the perspective of network topology division. A connected key nodes discovering algorithm based on loop detection between neighbor nodes was proposed in this paper. Moreover, we proposed the principle and theoretical analysis of this algorithm. This algorithm can be used to find the connected key nodes in WSN. An idea about enhancing topology connectivity in WSN by additional mobile nodes was introduced. A path planning algorithm for mobile nodes based on the above idea is also proposed in order to prolong the lifetime of the network and reduce the influence of connected key nodes on the network lifetime. According to the theoretical analysis and simulation, this research has effectively solved the problem about wireless sensor network topology division caused by connected key nodes, and then has obviously extended the lifetime of wireless sensor networks. The discovery of connected key nodes and the elimination of the negative impact cased by the connected key nodes could enhance the topology of WSN and extend the lifetime of WSN.
