Abstract
This paper discusses the minimum detectable velocity (MDV) performance of different cone angles for bistatic space based radar (SBR) in a single-orbit system, and discovers a unique phenomenon in bistatic SBR that MDV is highly sensitive to cone angles. The reason is presented and a new combined bistatic SBR mode is developed as well. Simulation results also verify the validity of the new method
