Abstract
In this paper we report a study combining the advantages of the netted radar concept with the availability of modern digital components to develop a prototype low-cost coherent multistatic radar system. This paper describes the system development, testing and calibration and the results of the initial field testing campaign. Initial tests have resulted in some of the first reported multistatic experimental results from a netted system. There is scope for much future work using the unique versatile and portable system for the collection of a large range of novel data
