Abstract :
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) have been known as Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) Solution for large enterprise. SOA based solution for enterprise has behavior such as: loosely-couple, reusable, autonomy, composable, make SOA can be implemented in any business process entity in flexible way, as long as an enterprise has business design. SOA gives a better alignment between IT and Business process, reduce IT burden, increase vendor diversity, and can support new technologies. Although IT adoption in SME and Large Enterprise are different, SME can also experience those benefits, with proper understanding of SME characteristics and suitable SOA approach. This paper gives explanation on how SOA can give benefit to SME in mid/long-term implementation and general view of SOA adoption for SME.
