Abstract :
In the present paper the analysis of gap coupled Rectangular Microstrip patch antenna is carried out by using cavity model. The proposed designed structure provides an impedance bandwidth of nearly 50.6%. The effect of air gap, distance between the parasitic and feed patch and dimensions of fed patch are also studied. The theoretical results are compared with the simulated and Experimental results. The simulation and theoretical results have been performed by using a method-of-moment based commercially available simulator IE3D and MATLAB respectively.
