  • Abstract
The authors describe the realization of (1) a technological environment suitable for recording of personal archives of signals, to be used mainly for teaching, but also for more general purposes, and (2) an original computer-aided instruction (CAI) system devoted to simulation and teaching in the field of dynamic electrocardiography. The system assembled consists of an MS-DOS-compatible computer (based on an Intel 8086 16-bit processor) with one 10-Mbyte hard-disk and one 320-Kbyte floppy driver; a graphics printer and plotter; an AD/DA conversion board which can sample up to eight true-differential channels with sampling frequency of 30 kHz and a quantization of 12 bits; and a scanner device which can read pages up to 216 nm×297 mm and store them in 640-×200- or ×400-pixel screen resolution modes
