Abstract :
This paper introduces an on-line disturbance detection and identification approach. The proposed approach detects voltage disturbances and discriminates the type of event which has resulted in the disturbance. The proposed approach is significantly faster and more precise in detecting and discriminating the type of disturbance events than conventional approaches
