Abstract :
This paper addresses the speed and accuracy problems in human face recognition. The wavelet transform is adopted to decompose an image and a particular frequency band is selected for principal component analysis (PCA) for face recognition. Experimental results show that the proposed method is better than the original PCA method in terms of both speed and accuracy
