Abstract :
Theoretical analysis and simulation results of low-frequency feed-forward linearization are presented. A new constraint is demonstrated to be required to simultaneously cancel the upper and lower IMD3 frequencies generated by third-order intermodulation distortion. This constraint is independent from the low-frequency feed-forward signal but can be satisfied by adjusting the DC bias point. Simulations for a two-tone signal in the AMPS band, in a LDMOSFET power RF amplifier, demonstrate that a reduction of at least 20 dB in third-order intermodulation distortion can be achieved at either low or high input-power levels
