Vague joins-an extension of the vague query system VQS

The vague query system VQS extends the query facility of relational and object relational databases with the feature that records, which do not match exactly are in the result set too. With the vague query language Vet such queries can be formulated. But, the operator “is similar to” cannot be used in a join condition. In this paper we extend the VQS-capability with vague joins. Special problems are discussed, the extended yet is introduced and realization aspects are presented
