Abstract
Due to their advantageous constant envelope feature, quaternary full response continuous phase modulation (4FR-CPM) are especially attractive for the application in future mobile radio systems. A novel representation of quaternary full response continuous phase modulated signals is introduced. Furthermore, a novel modulator structure for 4FR-CPM is presented. Finally, suboptimum coherent detectors for 4FR-CPM which are based on the aforementioned novel representation are proposed
