Abstract :
Since the standardization of Long Term Evolution - Advanced (LTE-A) is currently carried through in 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), it is of great importance to ensure the coexistence between LTE-A system and other mobile systems. This paper is aiming at presenting the performance loss of 3G/B3G TDD systems (TD-SCDMA, TD-HSDPA and TD-LTE) interfered by LTE-A system. The detailed interference models are analyzed theoretically. Afterwards, three representative interference scenarios are simulated by adopting Monte Carlo method and discussed from the following respects: inter-site distances (ISD), offsets between two systems, carrier frequency, frequency reuse schemes, uplink power control mechanism and system bandwidth of TD-LTE. In the end, a few suggestions concluded through simulation results are proposed to better realize the co-deployment of LTE-A and 3G/B3G TDD systems.
