Abstract
In this work, we will study the problem of applying natural neighbor interpolation in real-time application environments. First, we will see how this method can be used in time critical environments by adopting some fast algorithms for locating points and computing function values. Then, we will build a framework for testing both the time efficiency and the value accuracy of this interpolation method applied for the electromagnetic tracker calibration problem. Experiment results show that this method will be a good candidate for real-time interpolation based applications.
