Abstract
In this paper we propose a security architecture solution for hybrid network spanning a complex of wireless coverage areas over a Broadband Power Line core network. The solution proposed includes AAA integration to provide access to the end user as well as monitoring capabilities to the network operator. Both components of the network have a common authentication interface using Extensive Authentication Protocol (EAP) methods. A security suite for the BPL component utilizing EAP is also introduced.
