  • Abstract
    Lithium-ion 18650-cell capacity has been increased dramatically because of the fierce market competition. GP, as one of major lithium-ion cell manufacturers around the world, had introduced GP L210, the UL certified 18650 cell into the market in the middle of 2001. Here we report our major evaluation results on this product including the cycle life, rate capability from room temperature to -30°C at various rates, high temperature stability, UL over charge, impact, crush, flaming particle, and 150°C oven tests. Our test results confirm that GP L210 not only obtains the highest cell capacity in the existing market but also achieves a high abuse tolerance
