Abstract :
This paper introduces a new scheme for single user detection in the forward direction of centralized DS/CDMA systems. The basic idea is that, instead of the data themselves, the linear combinations of active users´ data according to the inverse crosscorrelation matrix of their signature waveforms are transmitted. With the proposed scheme, the simple correlator can well cancel the multiple access interference like the decorrelating multiuser detector while the signature waveforms of other users do not need to be known at the receiver. Analysis and simulation results of the performance are presented
