Abstract :
Running is a kind of simple and effective exercise, but it´s boring for us running in a traditional treadmill for a long time. In this paper, we propose a novel multi-media treadmill platform, which is based on virtual reality technology, sensor technology, motor control technique and the virtual human technique. This platform presents two main topics: a) a convenient method to generate large scale 3D scenes, b) the technique to render 3D scene by OSG (open scene graph). Especially, it emphasizes the motion algorithm of the virtual human. In the end, the platform integrating virtual humans into the 3D environment, makes the users immerse in the scenes.
