Abstract :
This paper discusses the various methods of evaluating aerospace lithium-ion, cells The use of pouch cells for development is discussed, and the performance, of pouch versus hardware cells is presented. Other topics that are covered include the use of reference electrodes in cells, low Earth orbit (LEO) testing with periodic state-of-health checks, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) evaluations, short-circuit testing and overcharge testing
