Abstract
In this paper, a novel method called P-ESPRIT algorithm is proposed for fully-polarized scattering center extraction and parameter estimation. The P-ESPRIT algorithm is a joint processing between polarization and super-resolution essentially. It is able to estimate the number, position, intensity and normalized scattering matrix of scattering centers instantaneously for each channel rather than the one which extracts parameters from each channel separately, and its performance is better than the latter because the fully-polarized information is used. It has computational advantage over other methods like MUSIC and ML because it needn´t search. Its validity is proved by the experimental results based on simulated and real data
