Research and Implementation of Local Color in Animation

Taking With Hui´an women living in the south China´s Fujian Province as an example, the thesis analysis the constitution of Hui´an woman´s finery. Through the deeply scratch of color theory, we analyse the physiological reason which cause color in eyes. We study the mental acts created by physiological reasoning, color collocation and symbolic meaning. The thesis brings up a viewpoint that the native color element enhances the art infectivity when we are creating animation. By strengthening the local color´s colored activity, making the animation have a special effect visual reception, I make an animation named <seek> which tells a story about diligent and sapiential Hui´an woman. The article illustrate how I use local color to build up the characters; control the tempo of animation; sublime the theme of story, make a better effect of local color to manifest Hui´an women´s spirit of laborious, brave and septennial. The innovative research of this thesis might be helpful to the animator when they are plant to create a cartoon with local characteristic and color style.
