Abstract :
Inrush current in the single-phase transformer is studied using model with detailed transformer magnetic circuit representation. Core saturation and hysteresis are taken into account by means of the Jiles-Atherton hysteresis model. The simulation is carried out in Matlab´s Simscape environment using both library and user defined components.
