Abstract :
A novel iterative channel estimation and intercarrier interference (ICI) cancellation scheme is proposed in this paper for mobile OFDM systems. The proposed scheme uses decision feedback to estimate both channel gain and the ICI gains, the latter being the multiplicative gain applied to the adjacent subcarriers. Thus the receiver can perform equalization and ICI cancelation in an iterative fashion. Computer simulations show that significant improvement can be obtained by the proposed scheme in fast fading channels.
