Abstract
This paper is concerned with the problem of quadratic stability analysis of nonlinear continuous-time control systems given by Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy models. A new quadratic stability condition for the class of fuzzy control systems is presented in terms of solvability of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). It is shown that the new quadratic stability criterion provides better or at least the same results of the existing methods in the literature, and numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed stability criterion
