Abstract :
Taking into consideration the deficiency of virtual assembly environment for the assembly sequence, the paper proposed an intelligent decision support system based on neural network and expert system. The system combines the virtual assembly technology with intelligent decision support technology, which makes sure that assembly sequence planning process can not only use the technologist´s experience, but also avoid the wasteful duplication of effort. The system successfully resolves the reasoning problems of decision support system, as the rules are imperfect and the assembly information is incomplete. The neural network reasoning engine can guide the expert system in the cases that lack expert knowledge, and it can study the experience of the expert system, which greatly improved the efficiency of decision-making reasoning. The simulation results show that the proposed method is feasible.
