Abstract
IONOPROP is software developed by Naval Ocean System, US. MINIPROP is a prediction model recommended by ITU (CCIR) for long and short paths. IRI is specially developed by URSI and COSPAR. The three softwares are compared with the measured data. Data are obtained for the propagation path between Ipoh-Singapore, Ipoh-Jakarta and Ipoh Tokyo. It was found that IONOPROP was suitable for long- and medium-haul or multiple hop propagation, MINTPROP for medium and IRI for single-hop or short-haul propagation
