Abstract :
The paper describes a new access protocol for packet based data communications suitable for RTI applications. It exploits the GSM cellular mobile functionality whilst requiring minimum modification of the existing system. A simultaneous downlink broadcast capability whilst maintaining a bi-directional short message service is an inherent feature of this protocol
