Abstract :
Recently, the demand for high-efficiency motors has increased. In particular, considerable attention has been focused on permanent magnet (PM) motors. Accordingly, we have studied the basic characteristics of a single-phase line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor (1 φ LSPMM) that can start as an induction motor and then operate as a PM motor. In this paper, we describe the theory for the calculation method of the 1 φ LSPMM.
