Abstract
When shipboard radar tracks low altitude targets above smooth sea surface, the phase wave front of the arrival signal changes and the performance of radar low-angle tracking declines because of the multi-path propagation effects. A new algorithm of interval search is proposed, which is based on traditional mono-pulse phase-comparison method. This paper also investigates how to select right frequencies when frequency diversity is used. Simulation results indicate that the proposed method can efficiently improve the angular measurement accuracy of low-angle measuring
