Abstract :
The paper addresses the problem of BER-minimizing power loading strategies for OFDM-based transmission systems where the channel state information at the transmitter is available only in terms of the "strong" and "weak" sub-carriers. We propose an algorithm of unequal power distribution between the "strong" and "weak" halves of sub- carriers. The theoretical background and simulation results confirm efficiency of the proposed power loading technique based on incomplete channel state information.
