Abstract :
A digital signal processor (DSP) for a digital beam forming antenna (DBF antenna) in the L-band has been implemented using a field programmable gate array (FPGA). The DSP has 16 channel processors, where each processor calculates both I and Q data in one channel. The DSP provides multi-beam synthesis and beam selection for the DBF antenna, which has 16 element antennas
