Abstract :
Using ship main engine to drive brushless doubly-fed machine to generate electricity can change the condition that the shipboard electric power system has been dependent on diesel generator set, and reduce operating costs. This paper analyzes the mathematical model and control principle of brushless doubly-fed machine independent generator system based on scalar control, and put forward the control strategy without speed sensor. Finally, setting up a system to simulate the condition of marine shaft generator system and many tests show the system agrees with the shipboard electric power requirements.
