Abstract
Matrix converter has received a considerable interest as a viable alternative to conventional back-to-back PWM converter. Industrial application of the Matrix converter is limited because of high susceptibility to input power disturbances. In this paper, under distorted input voltage and varying load conditions, behavior of the Matrix converter fed induction motor drive controlled by Indirect Space Vector Modulation is analyzed and PI Controller based Compensation is designed to prevent negative effects of input voltage disturbances. The model has been designed to support real time implementation. Simulation results to support the same are presented.
