Title :
RF predictions and modeling for microcells and PCS cell design
Author_Institution :

Abstract :
The paper addresses the issues that are important in using and selecting commercially available prediction tools and provides some insight to RF engineers into the selection of a tool for a certain task. It also presents some of the competing models in cellular, microcellular and PCS cell design. The effect of terrain database inaccuracies on predicted RF signal levels is also addressed. RF signal level measurements for a suburban area are compared to those predicted on the basis of Hata´s (1980), and COST231-Hata models
